Part II

Miss Emerson is one lucky girl. She gets two birthday parties every year. I'm talking two legit, cake and balloons, presents and streamers parties. We go to Red Oak for all of Thanksgiving to spend a big chunk of time with Ryan's family and Emerson's Aunt Sarah and Uncle Cole and Grandma and Grandpa do it up right. They are so good to my sweet girl...

I was explaining to Emerson one day about Grandma Margaret getting married and she said she wanted to get married too. I asked her, "to who?" thinking it would be her friends Luke or Carter but she said, "Uncle Chris."
Oh, boy. She loves her Uncle Chris...

Aunt Sarah with Easton Claire.

Cousin Ben feeding a baby for the first time I believe.

I'll let the banana in her hair slide this time...

She got a princess party- it was awesome.

Her first pair of Toms. You should see them on her. Oh. My. Goodness.

I love this picture because you can see my dilemma- she's starting to get a ringlet rat-tail. I hate to cut her hair but this one curl is growing longer than the rest of her hair and I'm sure I"m the only one who notices it (not after this post) but it's starting to get out of control...

This picture makes me laugh- what face is that? And what gang does she belong to with that hand gesture???

What sweet bug she is... And what an amazing family I married into to love my girls (almost) as much as I do.

How did this happen?

How do I have a three year old? My goodness that happened fast...

Her birthday happened to fall on a Saturday so we made the most of it. We went swimming at the North Kansas City Community Center where Ryan had a gym membership. You have to be creative when you have babies in November and February...

She wanted a Backyardigans birthday party- it turned out really well.

Oh, my sweet girl.

Oooooooh...

Her first Barbie Doll. The first of many, I assure you.

My best friend, Amy and the birthday girl.

The kids decorating their gift bags before the scavenger hunt in the back yard.

So really I just threw a bunch of candy and random goodies out in the yard and turned the spotlight on and had the kids look around. Like an Easter egg hunt but in November...
I swear, I did not pose her like this. Precious.

Her best friend Court-a-ney.

Emerson and Carly checking out the cake.

I remember Ryan planting her tree like it was yesterday.
Year 1.

Year 2.

Year 3- we actually got it with leaves this year.

To be continued...

9 Months... Seriously?

SO cliche, but I can't believe Easton's already 9 months old. She's a master army crawler, great eater and mostly just a bundle of fun. She's definitely a mama's girl and even if Ryan is holding her when I walk in the room she fusses if I don't come and get her. I went and bought a new car seat today- she's still in the bucket but her feet are touching the seat behind her. I think it's time! She weighed just under 19 pounds at her visit last week- wierd that she's only 8 pounds less than Emerson. They're both happy and healthy girls so I can't ask for much more.
