Playdates Galore

This week was a great one, Emerson and I were all over the place visiting friends and meeting new ones! We started out the week going over to Cathy (Corrie) Froese's house. She was in town from Canada and has a little girl, Bailey, who is 2 1/2 and her little man, Cooper, will be 1 at the end of May. We had a great time catching up- it had been since last summer that we had seen each other. I swear, we'll make the trip up to Canada one of these days.

We had a great lunch and I got two people looking at the camera. Not bad.
That night we met Shawna and Grace Testerman and Will, Jonathan and Amber at McDonalds for $1.79 Happy Meals and some time to play in the Playland. It was awesome.






She loved crawling through the tunnel thing after a little coaxing.

Yesterday, I visited my girlfriend who I went to the police academy with who has a 4 week old, Gracie. It was Emerson's first time around a teeny baby and she did pretty well but darn it, I forgot my camera! You'll have to take my word for it, she's BEAUTIFUL!

THEN today, we went out to Kansas to see little Hadleigh Von! She was so precious- and so very tiny. SUCH a beautiful baby.
Emerson and Audrey got to playing after sniffing each other out, so to speak. Can I say how much fun it is that they are so close in age? Stacy and I were joking today that they won't get to be roommates on Solah like we were, because we're all broke these days, they'll have to get an apartment together and go to Longview! Just kidding girls. (Sort of...)

I went upstairs to change Hadleigh's diaper and came back to this. Priceless!

The girls shared some Goldfish as a snack.

I put on Baby Einstein (or Crack TV as I call it) and they were mezmorized. Audrey has taken to her old "bucket" they've gotten back out for Hadleigh. Hilarious! Miss Emerson so pooped after our busy week! She's still sleeping as we speak. Have a great weekend! I'll update soon!

What we've been up to...

We've had a busy couple of weeks- I quit my job at Smokehouse (long story) and have started working at Outback. So it's been crazy getting used to a different restaurant but it's going well. Oh- and I shouldn't blame my lack of blogging just on my new job- the real reason is because I discovered Facebook. Good lord. Thank goodness the newness has worn off a bit because MAN it's addictive!

I had to work on St. Patrick's Day and was bitter Bob about it, but maybe next year. Emerson was in the green spirit however...

I hosted Bunco last Monday and here are my 3 pregnant BFFs hanging out in Emerson's room. (When do you stop calling it a nursery????) Amber (whose baby boy is coming two weeks from today!), Katy Z. who is due mid-May and Fran who is due with her second baby girl in July. Another one of my BFs (Stacy) just had her baby, Hadleigh. It's in the water- I'm sticking to Diet Coke!


My little mooch. Once we sit down to eat anything, she is not far behind wanting whatever it is we're having. Bunco night it was chili Frito pies. Yum!


Notice she's trying on my slippers... Hopefully her feet will never be as big as mine.


Emerson "dancing" at dinner at Harry's Country Club. It's her new thing.


Ryan's parents came in town for the weekend to get their Emerson fix and we took them to Power and Light before the night "rush." The PBR thing makes for a cool backdrop!
