Under the Sea

My girlfriend Jayme and I have reconnected and have been getting together a ton with our kids for playdates and birthday parties- it's been so fun. I had to include this first picture- I love it that kids don't get caught up in gender roles like adults do. And it always makes for some great pictures!

We took the kids to Crown Center for the Under the Sea exhibit. We had to stop off at the Crayola store first and check it out.

Easton Claire- still not walking, just ruining all the knees of all of her cute clothes and not able to wear any of the adorable dresses in her closet. (Ever tried crawling in a dress??) I swore when Emerson didn't walk until 16 months that with Easton I wouldn't worry but here we are.

I'm only a tad concerned. :)

We had to eat at Fritz's- it is pretty cool that a train brings your lunch to your table. It even keeps Easton entertained which is a feat these days!

Girl Stuff

I had been meaning to paint Emerson's toenails FOREVER. It's amazing how time gets away and we just never sat down to do it (without a 1 year old crawling all over us :) So I made the time and she loved it- it made her look so grown up! The first of many girly things I get to do with my firstborn. Ryan had the girls in the bathtub the next night and said she freaked out because her polish came completely off (I guess the kids polish comes off with water?)
"Dad- my toes!" Too funny...

Puerto Rico

Ryan's cousin Ben got married in San Juan so we had to (darn it) go because Ryan was a groomsman. I was a bit nervous leaving the girls for 5 days but they were great with my mom and Ryan's parents and this trip was a once in a lifetime one for sure. It was by far my favorite wedding I've been a part of. We stayed in a boutique hotel- only about 20 rooms but they were all rented out to people there for the wedding so we got to know all of Ben and Amber's friends pretty well. There were about 85 people who made it down for the festivities so it was a really big group of people.

This was a bar at a posh hotel in San Juan. We stopped in to have a drink (and then all the guys got in the pool in their underwear but I won't post those :) We found out later that J-Lo and Marc Anthony were staying there. And our group made fun of me because earlier in the day I had talked to our cabbie about Jennifer Lopez being Puerto Rican. I know my pop culture...

The next night there was a cocktail hour in Old San Juan. We got there early to walk around and do some shopping.

We went to a dance club after dinner and got a little crazy...

The wedding was at the Hacienda Siesta Alegre in Rio Grande. There was a charter bus to take everyone the hour drive to this house (more like compound) up in the hills of a rain forest, basically. It's a house that they rent out for events but it's also a horse sanctuary where old race horses come to be rehabilitated and then resold to people. The views were amazing.

This was the dance floor. I (correctly) predicted that somone would end up in that fountain by the end of the night.

The beautiful bride, Amber. The happy groom and me. They had an old man rolling cigars during the reception so we all partook. The last night Cole and Sarah stayed at the Hilton which was WAY nicer than our hotel so we hung out at their resort for the last day. This is how we spent some of our afternoon. Our last night we went back to Old San Juan. Our photographer friend, Dallas, sent us some of his fancy pictures.
