4 Months! She's found her feet and loves playing with them so she can keep herself pretty entertained these days.


A few weeks ago we went to a wedding in Iowa and Emerson had a blast blowing bubbles...

and dancing! She asked just today if we could do the Chicken Dance.

Easton rolled all the way over and does it constantly now. I'll lay her on her back and about 5 seconds later she's on her belly- she'll be crawling after Big Sister in no time...

Dora big girl underwear? Check. Big girl pottie? Check. Telling mom and dad she has to go? Not so much. We're working on it. At least she has all the gear. Oh, and my favorite thing about this picture is her shoes... We're working on that too...

Swimming!

I took the girls swimming last week- it was awesome. The pool was like bath water (so wierd for June) and Emerson picked up where she left off last summer. We don't have her pacifier to give her so she'll keep her mouth closed this summer so she swallowed her fair share of water. She'll learn that way I guess...

It's so fun to get out Emerson's old stuff and put Easton in it.

After the pool we went to Amber's parent's house and the kids played out back. They were awfully quiet (which means they're up to something, of course) and I went out there to find this...

I guess Griffin went in for the hug and bonked Emerson in the nose. I looked a bit later and it was a little bloody! She looks tough, right?

The Girls

We had a great weekend home with the girls- we went to a park and just hung around the house mostly. Emerson is getting good use out of her sand table from last summer so we try to hang out on the deck as much as we can.

I think Easton really likes watching Emerson.


One of Emerson's favorite books is "Pinkalicious." It's about a little girl who turns pink from eating so many pink cupcakes so we made "pinkalicious" last night. They were awesome.

Easton was due for a bath and I don't think I had taken many pictures of her bathtime yet...
