Easton's Announcements

Easton's announcements went out few weeks ago and they were too cute not to share- I'm not sure who checks the blog and didn't get one in the mail but it was worth posting. Corey did such a great job and there's a link to her site on the right if you're interested in contacting her. My girls make awfully cute subjects...

2 Months Old!

Easton is 2 months old and we had her 2 month check up today- she's doing great and has gained 2 1/2 pounds in the past month. We must be doing something right! She weighs 12.9 pounds (90th percentile) and is 23 3/4 long (also 90th percentile.) She's getting big! Here are her month pictures and some others.

Royals Game

Ryan's brother in law, Cole, is a big Red Sox fan so he and Ryan's sister, Sarah, came down for the series last weekend. It was great to see them and we went to the Sunday game with them. It was a beautiful day and we took Emerson with us- she loved it.

Easton stayed with grandma but I had to post a picture of her in a onesie her Aunt Sarah got for her.



We tailgated before the game and Emerson finally got to use the Royals chair Matt Mac and Amber Frisbie got for her back when I was pregnant. Thanks guys!

She fits on it a little better than she did for her very first Royals game...

There was a family next to us with a little boy and Emerson played with his toys. I'm not sure how he felt about her...


The Wood family has the Salsa Cup (long story) for the Bowl games every year and whoever wins gets the "Cup." Our names get inscribed onto it and everything- it's very official. Cole won this year (Emerson came in 2nd so don't give him too much credit) and he likes to rub it in our faces any chance he gets.

It was so fun spending the afternoon with just Emerson and giving her all of my attention. It's the first time I've gotten to do that since we had Easton. I wasn't sure she'd like the carousel but she is still talking about it- "round and around and around!"

She faceplanted in our driveway last Friday- just when her Easter injury was healing she got a huge scab on her nose. The other side is way worse.

"I wish you were a boy so I could show you how to field a pop up fly." Just kidding. Sort of...


Brandon Yoder and Ryan went to the AC/DC concert that night and he met us at the game.

My sweet nephew Griffin turned 1 on Tuesday and we had a family party for him that night. Emerson singing "happy birt-day!" Also a good shot of the shiner on her head.

And yes, I made her eat a cupcake with a fork. I was not about to clean up chocolate cake off of the WHITE carpet in my mom's kitchen. By the way, who gets white carpet in their kitchen? ;)

My mom volunteered to keep Easton overnight for us- I think I was out the door before she had finished asking the question. It was my first full night's sleep since fall. Seriously. Thanks mom!

"You're leaving me where???"
She did great and slept, like, 6 hours in a row or something. Which half is great and half just irks me! What is it with grandmas getting babies to sleep???? Anywho, I'll take it!

Easter Weekend

Easter weekend was a great one- we got to spend Saturday afternoon hanging out with the Hoyts.

Outside church on Sunday. We managed to get out of the house in one piece, meaning I had showered and put makeup on and got dressed! Sort of a big deal... But not before Emerson fell down a couple of stairs leaving the house and got an HUGE goose egg on her forehead. After I saw she was okay (of course) the first thing that came to mind? There go the good Easter pictures!

We got our first cousins picture. I cut out Emerson and Griffin- they weren't looking. Will and Easton just look so darn cute in this one.
Not too shabby for a 4, 2, and 1 year old and 6 week old! Griffin, such a cutie pie.

My pretty baby relaxing on the couch during all the festivities. She just laid there while we ate lunch and did the Easter egg hunt. So good!
