Easton's 4!

Our sweet Easton turned 4 the day Nolan was 2 weeks old. I was a bit stressed about planning a birthday party with a newborn but I ordered her invitations and did most of the planning before Nolan was born so I refused to let it stress me out. We decided to have the actual party a few weeks after her birthday to have a little more of a grip on life with 3. On her actual birthday she woke up to cinnamon rolls and then we went to the mall to do the "jumpy jump." They've done it before and love it.

I was a bit nervous about our first real outing to the mall and out for lunch but this is what Nolan did the whole time....  We ate at Noodles and Co. at the mall and he didn't make a peep.

That night we left Nolan with my mom and went to Red Robin for dinner.  We were nervous wrecks leaving Nolan for the first time but he slept on my mom while we were gone.  It was nice to just be out with the girls.

The girls have a ton of dress up clothes and my girlfriend, Jayme, had her husband make a wardrobe for the dresses.  Ryan thought he could tackle it as well and it turned out amazing.  They love it and now their room stays a bit more organized.

We decided to have Easton's party at an indoor water park in Lee's Summit.  It was fun to get out and swim while there was snow on the ground.

First few weeks home.

Our first few weeks home were pretty uneventful, just getting used to being a family of 5. The girls adjusted pretty well although I was nervous when Ryan went back to work that first day. We all survived.

Uncle Cole and Aunt Sarah came down for the afternoon to visit, Sarah is due about 3 months behind Nolan so those two should have a blast together.

Ryan's first day back I asked my mom to come spend the night so when I was getting Emerson ready for school I'd have an extra pair of hands.  And really, just for moral support.  I don't think she's minded the fact that he's a baby who enjoys being held more than anything.

I also started letting her ride the bus to and from school.  It's a huge help to me because she gets picked up and dropped off right in front of our house.  She LOVED it and it's been wonderful.  And I don't think she's picked up too many swear words quite yet.

I had a few girlfriends stop by, the Fish brought Smokehouse for dinner (delicious), Fran stopped by and so did Jayme.  I was just relieved he let them all hold him, he could be a bit finicky.
