My sweet nephew Griffin turned 1 on Tuesday and we had a family party for him that night. Emerson singing "happy birt-day!" Also a good shot of the shiner on her head.

And yes, I made her eat a cupcake with a fork. I was not about to clean up chocolate cake off of the WHITE carpet in my mom's kitchen. By the way, who gets white carpet in their kitchen? ;)

My mom volunteered to keep Easton overnight for us- I think I was out the door before she had finished asking the question. It was my first full night's sleep since fall. Seriously. Thanks mom!

"You're leaving me where???"
She did great and slept, like, 6 hours in a row or something. Which half is great and half just irks me! What is it with grandmas getting babies to sleep???? Anywho, I'll take it!

Easter Weekend

Easter weekend was a great one- we got to spend Saturday afternoon hanging out with the Hoyts.

Outside church on Sunday. We managed to get out of the house in one piece, meaning I had showered and put makeup on and got dressed! Sort of a big deal... But not before Emerson fell down a couple of stairs leaving the house and got an HUGE goose egg on her forehead. After I saw she was okay (of course) the first thing that came to mind? There go the good Easter pictures!

TGIS- Thank Goodness it's Spring!

I am loving this warmer weather. Having a November baby (with Emerson) was TOUGH- being cooped up inside for the first 5 months or so was brutal so getting outside this early with Easton is wonderful! Here are some randoms from the past couple of weeks.

Have a great Easter weekend! We're looking forward to a beautiful Sunday- I should have some great pictures of the girls with the Hoyt boys and Emerson looking for Easter eggs. Holidays get more and more fun as they get older, don't they???

1 Month Old!

It's halftime of the K-State game so I figured I'd do a quick post...

How quickly and slowly this past month has gone by! It's gone by fast but also seems like FOREVER ago we were being held hostage in the hospital. :) Here are some quick pictures of Ryan and the girls.

This is how we celebrated St. Paddy's Day. Cheers! My brother showed up at the hospital with 2 different matching outfits for the girls. How sweet is that?

Things are good here on the homefront- we're getting settled into a schedule- as much as you can schedule a newborn. Easton will be a month old tomorrow and she's growing so fast I can already tell. Emerson has been really great for the most part. She's pretty indifferent about her little sister which is a good thing, she just kind of does her own thing and leaves Easton alone.
Although today Easton was laying on the living room floor and Emerson gave her a big hug and said, "love her soooo much!" I told her to remember that when she's 16... :)

2 Weeks Old

We've been home a week now and we're all getting adjusted. It's great to have Emerson back in a routine, be it a new one, but it's SO good to be around her all the time. We're doing good! Here are some random pictures from the hospital and our first week home.
