Halloween Continued

My gitlfriend, Blair, had Jayme and me over for a Halloween afternoon date. Her son, Lincoln, is a week or two younger than Easton so they get along (fairly :) well.

7 Years

Our 7th wedding anniversary was yesterday so I surprised Ryan with reservations at the Bristol. We dropped the girls off at my best friend Amy's house (who they LOVE). Emerson was mad when we came to get her.

I love that after 7 years, 2 kids and 1 less job later, there's no one I'd rather spend my night with.

Halloween

For months now Emerson has been saying she wants to be Jesse (from Toy Story.) She always changes her mind so I waited to buy the costume but she never waivered- Jesse it was. I wanted the girls to "go" together so we made Easton be Bullseye. And since she can't talk she was fine with it.

We went to a trunk or treat at Amber's church- it's always so much fun and the girls loved it.

We were almost home and the car was unusually quiet.  She literally hadn't done that in over a year. 

The next night we finally carved our pumpkim, as Emerson calls them.

Easton observed from her chair, just like last year...

And I couldn't believe it, but Ryan let me do the carving. 

I think they approved.

For Halloween we went trick or treating with Will and Griff and went back to my mom's for some chili and Monday Night Football. The weather couldn't have cooperated more- it was perfect.

Ahhhh, Miami.

So Ryan had a flight voucher that was about to expire and we've always said (half jokingly) that on one of these work trips I'd tag along. Without the girls this time... He's been in Alaska and Ohio a ton but also has a client in Miami so when he got scheduled to go I got to come too. I was there for 3 days and it was PERFECT. Ryan said, but honey, I'll be working all day Monday. Yep. That's the point!!! I spent the whole day by myself (haven't done that in 4+ years) and shopped for 5 hours. Amazing. So, not a ton of pictures but you get the idea.

Our last night there we had a romantic dinner. Love this guy...

Etc.

Prom dress. Still fits. Moving on.

We went to go see Aunt Junia play the organ at the Temple and she let Emerson "play."

We took the girls to Build a Bear and let Emerson pick out a bear. She had a ball and Nebraska won that night. Good day.

Such intensity...

We helped dad rake some leaves in the backyard (read: we played while he raked.) Loving these fall days... And my beautiful girls.
