What we've been up to...

A lot! A couple of weeks ago my cousin Beth and her daughter Maddie came to town again for a quick visit. They were here when Amber had Griffin so it was good timing.

Something is shocking, obviously. Her expressions these days are hilarious.

Amber pre-Griffin and Beth is due with a little boy in August.


Ryan was doing some yard work and Emerson was very interested...

We had Sunday Night Dinner and Maddie and Will thought "Peter Cottontail" was awesome.

Emerson, not so much...

Note there are four people taking pictures of the kids on the bench... I think we got all angles covered!

She'll kill me for this one... I was in a hurry and had to wake her up for her nap (which I HATE doing!) to take her to my mom's so I could get to work. I just left her hair because it was too funny to fix.

Last weekend we went to Des Moines to visit Cole and Sarah. Mike and Geri and Chris all came over as well- DM is a pretty good central location for all of us. Again, something is obviously very surprising...

Uncle Chris goes to Iowa and gave her this bib when she was tiny. She was eating a Milky Way bar I, in my infinite wisdom, decided to give her. She was up until 3 am. Really.

This is also what we like to do - hang out in the kitchen and have a few adult beverages. I was still a bit sickly from Makenzie's bachelorette party (thanks Mak!) so I didn't drink. Cole and Sarah thought for sure I was pregnant... Nope, just had too much fun the night before!

Emerson had quite the audience when Cole's friends stopped by... What do I have her wearing, by the way?!?!?!




On Tuesday, Stacy and I took the girls to Deanna Rose. Emerson was loving the goats.

She was fearless!

She had to ride the "duh- duuuh!"

She says "muh, muh" for cow- a take on moo I suppose. It was pretty cool showing her the real thing.

Stacy fed the baby goats some milk- she was afraid Audrey would drink it. Makes sense! I joked that Emerson wouldn't know what to do with the bottle!
