Easter Weekend

We had a great Easter weekend- Saturday night we went to the McLaughlins to let the kids hang out and it was quite the scene!

We were happy when Audrey and Hadleigh showed up to even out the girl to boy ratio- 3-3. Katy- you've got the tie-breaker!!!

Stacy told Audrey to give Emerson a kiss. Emerson wasn't so sure...


Katie was getting ready to give Carter a bath and the girls heard the "b" word so they had to get in on the action. They'll kill us when they're all at Graceland together.

We all took turns snuggling with sweet Hadleigh. I fed her a bottle and she slept the rest of the time!

Sunday morning we went to Walnut Gardens. Here's Emerson in her Easter dress.
Amber stayed home with Griffin but came to lunch.

We were trying to show Emerson that there were eggs and candy hidden around the living room.
Amber led her to the loot. Can I just say how freakin good she looks after having a 6 day old???

ZimmerBaby Shower

So today Katie Mac and the Fish and I had a baby shower for Katy Zimmerman (ZimmerBaby if you'd like to take a gander to the right and check out their great blog! Like you haven't already... ;)
It was a lot of fun and everything turned out really great- thank you to everyone for coming!

We had everyone e-mail me with some motherly "advice" for Katy and then had them printed out and hung by the mantle. She got some good words of wisdom.


The cake was great and the cookies said "ZimmerBaby" on them. Everything tasted as good as it looked...

People had to guess what time the baby will be coming and whether or not it will be a boy or a girl. (Look familiar Sarah?) Come on, Zimmer-boy! Katy holding sweet Hadleigh Von.

Aaron surprised Katy with a Star Wars mobile he made himself! It's a good thing newborns are blind as bats! That thing would scare a baby silly! It's the thought that counts, eh?

We decorated onesies and Steph wrote, "Does breastmilk quailfy as vegan?"

I wouldn't dare have a post without Miss E! Ryan took her to Einstein Bros. to get some breakfast during the shower and then they headed to the library. They got in some good father daughter time.

I love this one because you can see her tooth! One of her two... We'll get there, right Ginelle?

Tonight we're heading over to Ken and Sue McLaughlin's for the kids to run (crawl) around and get in some good kid time. It'll be a circus but so fun! Have a great Easter!

It's A Boy!!

Will is officially a big brother! Jonathan and Amber (my brother and sister in law) had their baby boy, Griffin Michael Grice, via scheduled c-section this morning at 8:01. He is 7 lbs. 1 oz and is 19 1/2 inches long. He's absolutely beautiful and looks like a Hale- Will on the other hand, looked just like Jonathan and still does! Emerson and I went up to visit today and I got a few pics. They just happen to be in our old room at Centerpoint so it was a bit nostalgic.

Being a new aunt is the best!

My big brother and his new little boy. My mom got Amber this frame that says "Brand New Big Brother." Will sweetly gave Griffin a kiss for the cameras.

Amber is doing great- we forced ourselves to leave so she could get some rest. Congratulations you guys! You have a beautiful little family!
